The wedding has been moved AGAIN, this time up, to November 30th of this year. We'll be moving to the coastal area of the state later this year, him first for his job (hence the move-up), me following the first week of December. It's a really artsy area, so it'll be a good move for me too. I'm hoping to get some exposure at the art fairs they have constantly, but first I reeeeeally need to build up my watercolor portfolio >< I gave away a good deal of my stuff I did for class as gifts, so I don't have very many decent pieces left in my possession.

I think it's absolutely hilarious that my professor told me I needed to do more real life studies XD She's right, of course, but I adore fantasy. Besides, the portfolio grade (I got an A on my portfolio, B in the class overall) was based on how much practice we did with the medium, not necessarily the number of RL studies. She also liked to pick on me about preferring working small over large. Not in a mean way, of course. She's a sweetie. She won't be available to teach this winter because she's having a baby, so I won't be able to study under her again til next spring. That'll be an hour and a half to a two hour commute one-way, but she's worth it. I adore her. Thankfully my other half is totally supportive of my decision to remain enrolled at my current school despite the drive. The few remaining mandatory classes I have left I can mostly do online anyway. Watercolor 2 isn't mandatory, but I've fallen in love with the medium and the professor, so I'm definitely taking it.

I went to university for three and a half years to study Psychology, but finally realized it wasn't my calling and came back to my parental home to study the Visual Arts at a local community college. I should hopefully have my Associate's degree sometime in 2012. While I no longer study Psychology I am still very interested in the subject and continue to do some reading and research of my own on the side. I don't regret studying Psychology, but I do regret the wasted money. But that's what I get for denying my passion to try and please everyone else. Luckily my family was very supportive and all for my decision to study art. That, and since I'm an only child and live across the street from my maternal grandparents (who helped to raise me) my family couldn't wait to have me living back home again.

I never really outgrew my preference of animation over live-action, so I guess to many people I seem childish. I've done a couple video editing projects of filmed footage and enjoyed it, but my heart will always be in animation, though I don't plan to ever go into animation. I prefer making still drawings. I'll try almost any art form, though. I just love to make things. I also enjoy modding and making jewellery.
