The wedding has been moved AGAIN, this time up, to November 30th of this year. We'll be moving to the coastal area of the state later this year, him first for his job (hence the move-up), me following the first week of December. It's a really artsy area, so it'll be a good move for me too. I'm hoping to get some exposure at the art fairs they have constantly, but first I reeeeeally need to build up my watercolor portfolio >< I gave away a good deal of my stuff I did for class as gifts, so I don't have very many decent pieces left in my possession.
I think it's absolutely hilarious that my professor told me I needed to do more real life studies XD She's right, of course, but I adore fantasy. Besides, the portfolio grade (I got an A on my portfolio, B in the class overall) was based on how much practice we did with the medium, not necessarily the number of RL studies. She also liked to pick on me about preferring working small over large. Not in a mean way, of course. She's a sweetie. She won't be available to teach this winter because she's having a baby, so I won't be able to study under her again til next spring. That'll be an hour and a half to a two hour commute one-way, but she's worth it. I adore her. Thankfully my other half is totally supportive of my decision to remain enrolled at my current school despite the drive. The few remaining mandatory classes I have left I can mostly do online anyway. Watercolor 2 isn't mandatory, but I've fallen in love with the medium and the professor, so I'm definitely taking it.
After A Long Time Away
Well damn.
Hard to believe it has been, what, three and a half years since I did anything on here. I've since married (yes, ~undergroundwalruss (https://www.deviantart.com/undergroundwalruss), for those who remember, was my high school and college boyfriend and now my hubbin of three years), my husband and I have moved back to our hometown, and I'm in my last semester (finally) at the local community college for my Fine Arts Certificate.
On the incredibly off chance anyone reads this who followed the fan comic, I don't know if or when I'll continue "All The Colors". I remain a fan of MLP FiM, but at the moment I'm intending to turn this page into something closer to professional to
So yeah.

So yeah hi. It's... been awhile. Life got really crazy busy there. Still is busy, but not quite as insane now that the holidays are (thankfully) over.
Not sure when I'm going to resume "All The Colors". Future pages may end up in black-and-white due to lack of time to color them. I'm considering switching to watercolor if I do decide to keep coloring them.
Oh ya, I'm taking a course in watercolor. I love this class. I think I've found my favorite color medium. I'll probably post a project or two I've done for it. The semester's almost over, and I'm actually really sad about
Lo, She Lives.

So... I'm not dead o___o That hiatus was completely unplanned, btw. I've had a LOT going on in my life. Shortly after getting engaged, I was promoted to a semi-supervisor position at work which gave me a TON of new hours. At the moment things have slowed down, so I can HOPEFULLY get back to "All The Colors".
Also, yay for the username change! I was so tired of my old one DX
